Founding
Our music school is situated in Pakrac, a little friendly town in West Slavonia - eastern Croatia. It has been founded on 1st September 1996 as a branch of the Open People's College. It was the first music school founded on the decision of Ministry of Education and Sport after the end of the Homeland War. It was our wish and intention to give opportunity to all children who have talent and wish to get to know the miraculous world of music.

Programmes
At present 96 students from Lipik, Pakrac and surrounding area attending this music school that is verified for following programs and musical instruments: music nursery, preschool music education, piano, flute, "tambura"- a local folk string instrument, accordion and guitar. In the near future we are going to have new classes for violin, clarinet as well as other musical instruments the students show interest in. Teaching has been done by 9 music teachers of high quality: that is proved by the prizes we have been awarded in different competitions.
Pupils' and teachers' success
We would particularly like to point out at the second place that has been won by our piano duet Alma Hotic and Robert Ivandic in our State competition and Silver Plaque of our three-part chorus in the State Chorus Contest. Our school has been giving a lot in spiritual and cultural renewal of this in war destroyed area. Students and teachers take part in all cultural events in and outside this area; we have represented our town, County and country our state borders.
Premises
Since September 2003 we have been working in our own building, so-called Jankovic manor that was built between 1728 and 1745 and is a cultural monument of 18th and 19th century. The godfather of our school is Zlatan Stipisic Gibonni, who is since recently a UNICEF good will ambasssador.
